Stress Management and Wellbeing Sessions for Teams
Some stress helps us focus and get things done. Too much, for too long, takes a toll on health, concentration, relationships and job satisfaction, and it shows up at work as fatigue, mistakes, conflict and sick days. Many organizations now see employee wellbeing as part of looking after their people and their performance.
Back when I first offered workplace sessions, I called them “corporate hypnosis.” Today I’d describe them more simply: practical stress-management and wellbeing workshops that draw on hypnosis, NLP and coaching.
Recognizing stress overload
Stress rarely announces itself clearly. Common early signs include:
- Trouble sleeping or waking up tired
- Irritability, shorter fuses and more conflict
- Difficulty concentrating, procrastination and small mistakes
- Headaches, muscle tension or more frequent minor illnesses
- Withdrawing from colleagues, or working longer hours with less to show for it
Spotting these signs early, in yourself and in others, makes it much easier to respond before stress turns into burnout.
What sessions can include
- Guided relaxation and self-hypnosis. Short, practical techniques people can use at their desk or before a big meeting to reset their nervous system.
- Managing pressure. Recognizing early signs of overload and using simple tools, such as slower breathing, EFT tapping and reframing, to respond rather than react.
- Confidence and communication. NLP-based skills for presentations, difficult conversations and building rapport.
- Goal setting and motivation. Turning big objectives into clear, motivating steps.
- Healthy habits. As an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, I can also include simple movement and recovery habits that support energy and focus through the workday.
Formats
I can tailor workshops for small teams or larger groups, in person in the Bay Area or online, and also offer confidential one-to-one sessions for individuals who want more focused support.
What it isn’t
Wellbeing workshops complement, rather than replace, a healthy workplace. They work best alongside reasonable workloads, supportive management and access to professional help such as an employee assistance program. Anyone experiencing persistent anxiety, burnout or depression should be encouraged to speak with their physician or a licensed mental-health professional.
Why it’s worth it
When people learn to manage stress, they often report sleeping better, thinking more clearly and feeling more in control. Teams that feel supported tend to communicate and collaborate better. Even a single workshop can give people a toolkit they keep using.
