Many people come to coaching after months or even years of trying to change on their own. They’ve read the books, set the resolutions and made the plans, yet something keeps pulling them back to old patterns. That isn’t a lack of willpower. More often, the change they want conflicts with a belief or habit running quietly underneath.
“Coaching doesn’t give you a new life. It helps you remove what’s standing between you and the one you want.”
A good coach gives you three things that are hard to give yourself: an outside perspective, structured accountability, and tools to change how you think and respond. In my practice I combine coaching with NLP and clinical hypnotherapy, so we can work on both the practical steps and the subconscious patterns that shape your behaviour.
What happens in a first session
Our first session is about clarity. We’ll explore where you are now, where you want to be and what has stopped you getting there so far. Together we’ll identify the beliefs, habits or emotional triggers that keep repeating, and agree on a focused plan. Most clients leave the first session with at least one practical technique they can start using straight away.
Building lasting change
Change that lasts is built step by step. Between sessions you’ll practise simple exercises that reinforce new patterns, from reframing techniques to short self-hypnosis recordings. As those new responses become automatic, you’ll notice the shift in your work, your relationships and how you feel about yourself. Coaching is the first step; the momentum you build is what carries you forward.
